Yoga Pose Cookie Cutters (& A Homemade Icing Recipe)
We broke in our Yummi Yogi cookie cutters this weekend, and had so much fun doing it! If you’re as obsessed with yoga that you too would like to add some asana to your sugar cookie repertoire, browse the Yummi Yogi site. You’ll find tree, warrior two, warrior three, crescent, and downward facing dog poses to throw into your collection. I’m taking a batch to my local studio for the holidays, but they come in handy for other events (and foods) too.
The cookie cutting went a little smoother when cutting on a non-stick baking mat. Just peel the remaining dough from around the edges, leave the cookies in place, and place the baking mat on a baking sheet for the oven.
We used this simple, homemade icing recipe from Old Nelly Farms:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp light corn syrup
- 2 tsp milk
- dash of vanilla extract
Mix well with a fork. Refrigerate for at least ten minutes.
The kids helped make this yogi with funky pants. You’ll find much more “professional” inspiration on the Yummi Yogi site!
